A company that was once known for simply remodeling bathrooms and small home repairs is growing despite a troubled economy.
Jabs Construction, a family-owned company, opened in 1978. However, the economic downturn of 2008 affected his business like many others in the area.
Unlike some, owner Tim Jabs grew his business during the down time by working to maintain a professional reputation, turning to the Web for marketing, increasing advertising within the area and using old-fashioned yard signs, he says.
Because of this, business has increased to include new additions to homes ranging in the $100 to $200,000 range, says Jabs.
With an uptick in building Jabs says it’s a sure sign the economy is coming back, and he thinks financial advisers are once again telling people to reinvest into their homes.
Jabs Construction is located in Dumfries.
