
Stafford County, Va. –– Fire and rescue crews on Monday evening were called to a brush fire at Willowmere Park on Mountain View Road.
The fire broke out after 6 p.m. Monday, forcing crews to bring water and other equipment into the woods to fight the fire.
Not a large blaze, the brush fire was easily contained, said Stafford fire and rescue spokesman Mark Doyle.
Earlier that afternoon, brush fires broke out along Interstate 95 in North Stafford.
Crews were called to mile post 143, near the interchange at Garrisonville Road (Va. 610) to douse a series of small brush fires there.
