It’s going to be busy on the rails this afternoon as workers make a break for home for a long Presidents’ Day weekend, Virginia Railway Express says.
Riders on the transit system’s Fredericksburg line should experience the most crowding this afternoon as commuters make their getaway from Washington.
Train 303 on the Fredericksburg line departing Union Station at 3:30 p.m., and Train 327 departing Union Station at 3:45 p.m. will be the longest trains this afternoon.
The longer trains are expected to ease crowding as riders are expected to leave work early for the holiday weekend.
