Stafford County, Va. –– The two left northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at mile post 136 in Stafford County were closed shortly before 11 p.m. due to a crash, authorities said.
While there were few immediate details on the crash, the right traffic lane was the only one carrying drivers past the crash scene, said authorities.
It’s unclear how many cars were involved in the crash or if there were any injuries.
Earlier in the hour, another crash had been reported on the same stretch of highway, this time at northbound mile post 136 in North Stafford.
Details on that crash were also not immediately available.
Both crashes created delays of more than a mile along the stretch of highway, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
