
Prince William County, Va. –– A Prince William County Government employee was arrested Monday on charges of assault and battery, police said.
Police say the 47-year-old male victim from Manassas said he and the female suspect were involved in an argument which escalated at 6:27 p.m. Monday, in the 8100 block of Porter Ridge Lane in the Prince William County section of Manassas.
During the dispute, the victim told police the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the victim, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
The victim tried to get the knife from the suspect, and as he did the suspect then hit the victim with a wooden statue.
Kim Annette Young, 50, of Porter Ridge Lane, is charged with domestic assault and battery, said Perok.
Police said she works for the county’s community services board.
He was released on her own recognizance. A court date was not released.
