Woodbridge, Va. – Belvoir Federal Credit Union will end its partnership with three Woodbridge area schools.
Branches of the credit union had been set up at Gar-Field and Woodbridge high schools, and Godwin and Woodbridge middle schools, under a partnership between the credit union and Prince William public schools.
Despite the in-school branches closing, parents, students and faculty and staff who work at the schools, and are members of the credit union, can continue an uninterrupted membership to the credit union, and those who are associated with those schools and haven’t joined will still be able to, according to Belvoir Federal Credit Union spokeswoman Bonnie Andresakes.
The branches are closing as the credit union prepares to serve at least some of the 20,000 federal and military workers who are being relocated to Ft. Belvoir as part of BRAC.
Belvoir Credit Union boasts more than 4,000 banking locations, as well as an online banking presence.
Belvoir Federal Credit Union has branches in Mt. Vernon and Woodbridge.
