WOODBRIDGE, Va.–A New York man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for pimping out a 16-year-old girl.
Marc Shawn Brickhouse, 32, with the help of another one of his prostitutes, 21-year-old Julie McKenna, lured a girl from California to the east coast using an online social networking service to work as a prostitute, according to court records.
In February, the girl was brought to a hotel off Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge to be pimped out. She was able to escape to a Babies R Us store for help, according to police.
Her captors were later caught in Maryland. They ran thier operations out of New York City, according to investigators.
McKenna pled guilty earlier this month and was sentenced to five years and 11 months in a federal prison.
Brickhouse was also ordered to serve five years of probation.
