This past Tuesday evening, the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce hosted its 6th annual business awards dinner at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas to honor the best of the local business community. Awards recognize excellence in business, innovative practices, outstanding contributions to the community and businesses/organizations that stand out among their peers.
The City of Manassas presented its first “Business of the Year Award” to Management and Training Consultants Inc. (MTCI). For more than 15 years MTCI has specialized in federal and military recruiting, retention and personnel management. MTCI is led by Dalena Kanouse, President and CEO. Under Dalena’s leadership, MTCI has received a number of national and international certifications. She is passionate about ensuring the principle upon which MTCI was founded — “maximizing human potential” is at the core of everything they do. She truly believes the greatest asset of MTCI is the people who carry out the mission. 76 percent of the company’s associates are veterans; of those, 50 percent are retirees and 26 percent are combat veterans.

We started construction on the new building last summer and it is expected to be completed around June of this year. The new construction is right next to our current building at 3640 Friendly Post Lane, Woodbridge, 22192.

From Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue
On Wednesday, March 1st at 6:52 a.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 13100 block of Oak Farm Drive in Woodbridge.
From Virginia Department of Transportation:
WOODBRIDGE –Pile driving resumed today along Route 1 for construction of the new bridge over Marumsco Creek just north of Marys Way and will last for approximately two weeks, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Strong Armed Robbery *ADDITIONAL ARREST – On February 27, Jesse James WYRICK, the second suspect wanted for a robbery which occurred in the area of Hoadly Rd and Apollo Dr in Woodbridge on February 1, turned himself into police without incident.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A fire that started in a microwave prompted fire and rescue crews to a Woodbridge neighborhood.
Fire and rescue crews were called to a single family, three-story home in the 16690 block of Anchor Bend Way in the Port Potomac neighborhood off Route 1 about 3:10 p.m.
