A total of 1,143 pounds of expired or unused prescription medications were collected in greater Prince William County on Saturday, April 29th. The event was sponsored by the Crime Prevention Unit of the Prince William County Police Department, the City of Manassas Police Department, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center, Sentara Lake Ridge Ambulatory Care Center, and Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center hosted the DEA’s “Take Back” initiative.
Archery is growing in popularity in Prince William County Public Schools.
Rosa Parks Elementary School in Dale City sent home letters to parents late last month notifying them of the archery program that will be offered during the school’s physical education classes, as well as giving them the opportunity to opt out their child from the program.

Sexual Assault Investigation – On May 3 at 1:10 p.m., an officer responded to investigate a sexual assault which allegedly occurred at an unknown residence somewhere in Woodbridge on April 29 around 1:00 a.m. The victim, a 17-year-old girl of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was at a party in the above area when she was followed outside the residence by an unknown male.
