A new restaurant called “Shakin Crab” is set to open on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
The restaurant space at 11 Hope Road in Stafford has seen many restauranteurs come and go.
We started reporting on the space in 2011 when it was known as County Fare, a small mom and pop diner opened by a retired Marine who wanted to give Stafford locals a taste of some of the cuisine he had in the corps.

“The Virginia Craft Brewers Guild held the 2017 Virginia Craft Beer Cup Awards Ceremony Monday, June 5, 2017, at WestRock in Richmond, Virginia. There were more than 240 brewers in attendance to celebrate excellence in craft beer this year. The Virginia Craft Beer Cup competition was managed by master Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) judge Tom Cannon and 40 judges. We visited Jitterbugs Ice Cream Cafe about 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon. We had just come from a whiskey tasting and needed some lunch, and I knew the place offered hot dogs and ice cream — the perfect thing for a hot summer day.

James Smith was going to tear down Moo Moo Junction before he decided to open an ice cream stand there.
The small, walk-up ice cream stand opened at the corner of West and Church Streets in Downtown Manassas. The opening came one year after Smith purchased the adjacent building; a house turned office building at 9119 Church Street.

The new Jitterbugs Ice Cream Cafe is now open on Center Street in Downtown Manassas. The ice cream shop’s interior is that of a classic diner featuring chrome fixtures, a jukebox, a lunch counter, and tables designed to look like your sitting in a 1957 Chevy convertible.
A portion of this year’s Cajun Occasion 3 will benefit Volunteer Prince William.
The charity works each year to provide toys to children through its annual “Un-Trim-A-Tree” program at Christmastime.

Okras — a staple restaurant in Downtown Manassas since 1998 — opened its second location on the Virginia Oaks golf course clubhouse in Gainesville. The Cajun-style restaurant is the sole occupant of the clubhouse, complete with dining areas, a full bar, patio, and events spaces.
