Signals at the intersections of Route 1 and Dale Boulevard, Route 1 and Neabsco Mills Road, and Route 1 and American Eagle Boulevard are reported to be flashing.

STAFFORD, Va. — Food Lion has closed its doors in North Stafford.

The grocery store at 950 Garrisonville Road, at the Market at Shelton Shop, reopens on Friday as Weis Markets. The move comes as the Pennsylvania-based food chain purchased 10 Food Lion stores in the Stafford and Fredericksburg areas.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Keep Prince William Beautiful dedicated Serenity Park, the culmination of a months-long beautification project at the Prince William Adult Day Healthcare Center in Woodbridge, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. The park was dedicated to families dealing with Alzheimer’s and other degenerative neurological diseases, as cared for by Adult Day Healthcare.

MANASSAS PARK, Va. — Road crews in Manassas Park will begin work to re-stripe lanes at the intersection of Route 28 and Manassas Drive. 

The work will take place between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night this week.  Crews anticipate finishing the work by 4 a.m. Friday, according to a press release from the city.

Fire crews reported the boat fire extinguished at 1:55 p.m. Flames did not damage a nearby house in the area where the boat caught fire. 

Crews called for booms to prevent fuel run off from the burning watercraft from seeping onto properties in the neighborhood.
