MANASSAS — The street where Osbourn High School and Baldwin Intermediate schools sit has a new name.
The Manassas City Council on Monday changed the name of Tudor Lane to Eagle Way, named after the mascot of Osbourn High School.

As transportation officials search for a solution for Route 28 congestion, The Northern Virginia Transportation Authority’s proposal, dubbed “Alternative 2B,” the most popular idea for relieving local congestion, has generated strong opposition from local preservation and conservation agencies concerned about historical and environmental impacts.
If approved, Alternative 2B would extend Godwin Drive from Sudley Road near the Manassas Mall, between the Lomond neighborhood in Prince William County and residential neighborhoods in Manassas Park, across a new bridge over the Bull Run River connecting to Route 28 in Fairfax County.

WOODBRIDGE — A fire at Prince William County’s new $30 million Central District Police Station on Friday will not further delay its construction.
From county spokesman Jason Grant:
STAFFORD — An extension of the Interstate 95 E-ZPass Express Lanes could begin as early as 2019.
The lanes would carry drivers from its current terminus in the area of Garrisonville Road south to the area of Warrenton Road (Route 17) in Stafford County.

From Prince William County police:
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 21 at 1:35 a.m., officers responded to Brittany’s Restaurant located at 12449 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate several suspicious individuals. When officers arrived, they made contact with several intoxicated suspects and subsequently arrested them.
The Virginia Department of Transportation will begin repaving the shared use path on Prince William Parkway.

WOODBRIDGE — The Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association will take up two matters during its meeting on Thursday: A new housing development that could bring up to 325 new homes, and healthcare.

LAKE RIDGE — A new $6.8 million activity room is planned for Old Bridge Elementary School.
The Prince William County School division will hold a public meeting about the addition to the 27-year-old school building.
