Stonewall Jackson wasted no time, pushing in front and finishing in the same fashion during this 14-13 victory over Battlefield at Battlefield High on October 26 in Virginia high school football action.

STAFFORD — (Press Release) Stafford County Public Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Janis Streich, Executive Director of Learning and Organizational Development of Stafford County Public Schools, received the inaugural Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) Council Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Award for her career leading innovation in instruction and technology in Virginia. Dr. Streich’s work around the Instructional Technology Resource Teacher model has contributed to innovation through the state.
Dr. Streich, a leader in Virginia educational technology for over 20 years, is a former elementary classroom teacher and served as the assistive technology coordinator in Stafford County Public Schools during the early 2000s.

MANASSAS — The city of Manassas has acquired Annaburg Manor, a historic property, for the purpose of turning it into park space. The property has 3.65 acres of land, but the building is badly in need of renovation.
“Resident surveys have noted a lack of public space and a need for additional space in the community. This is a very nice, undeveloped area,” said Manassas city manager Patrick Pate.

The parade will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 11 a.m. and will honor the 100th Anniversary of the American Legion. This year’s Grand Marshal is former American Legion and Virginian Commander Dan Dellinger.
FREDERICKSBURG — The Fredericksburg City Council met Tuesday to discuss three issues that have arisen with the Potomac Nationals move from Woodbridge to the city.
The P-Nats proposed a stadium resolution that would be privately funded by team owner Art Silber and Mary Washington Healthcare, the current investor. The stadium would be located on Celebrate Virginia South, near Wegmans grocery store and the Fredericksburg Expo Center.
