Two Woodbridge residents were recently honored by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation for their contributions to Marines.
Lauren Armstrong and Lt. Col. Seth Folsom were presented with awards on April 16 at the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation’s Annual Awards Ceremony.
On April 30, the Pink Lipstick Women Empowered group held their first meeting at the hotel.
It brought together women in the area who own small businesses in the Prince William area in an effort to bring together all women, from mothers, career professionals and business owners, according organizer Yahaira Stewart.

A fundraiser for the Lake Ridge Rotary Clubs was held Wednesday afternoon where those who dined were charged not only for what ordered, but also for cups and straws they drank from as well as the napkins they used to wipe up.
The expo originally began as a service of the Prince William County Park Authority but was eventually dropped due to budgetary restrictions, shared Park Authority representatives. After the park authority dropped the program, the children’s clothing store Gymboree brought it back, and then passed the torch again to Mona Tisler, who also runs the Classy Kids Consignment Sale.

On Friday evening, it’s a great night for local baseball with the Potomac Nationals facing off against the Lynchburg Hillcats.
