Of all the things I worried about in preparation of Hurricane Sandy, my commute was not something I thought would be changed. Sure, I’ve whined and complained about commuting from the suburbs of Northern Virginia to Downtown Washington, D.C. I thought that was bad. Nope. That was nothing.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — A woman who went to a WaWa store on Va. 610 in North Stafford was robbed.

The woman went inside the store at 105 Garrisonville Road to use the ATM inside the store at 5:28 p.m. Monday. When she completed her transaction, a man came up from behind and took the cash she had just withdrawn as well as her debit card to Navy Federal Bank.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — National grocer ADLI will open an new store in Stafford County, adding it to the chain’s collection of others stores in the region.

ALDI will hold a ribbon cutting for the new store at 1030 Warrenton Road at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31. The company said this will be their fourth location near Fredericksburg, as the company also has stores on Va. 610 in North Stafford, as well as locations in Manassas and Woodbridge.

I am already disgusted with myself as I slide the cake into the oven. I haven’t had such difficulty baking a cake since the 6th grade, when my first solo cake broke coming out of the pan and I covered the whole thing with mini marshmallows to make it look decent.
