PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — County leaders in Prince William want to move voting precincts following last fall’s election that saw record voter turnout.
According to county documents, officials received several complaints from those who work at the Elks Lodge at 14602 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge following last November’s Presidential Election. On Election Day, there were too few parking spaces, and the number of voters in the precinct outweighed the capacity for the building at the lodge.
A Woodbridge man was killed over the weekend in a motorcycle crash in Florida.
Christopher Daniel Barnet, 43, died after he was involved in a crash on Interstate 95 in Rockledge, Fla. near Cape Canaveral, Fla.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – The Prince William County Democratic Committee held its 34th Annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner this past weekend at Foxchase Manor in Manassas. With 306 tickets sold, nearly every seat was filled.
DALE CITY, Va. — One person was flown to a hospital for treatment after being involved in a crash on Interstate 95.
The crash closed all northbound lanes of the highway just after 3 p.m. at Dale City, resulting in a backup for more than eight miles delaying traffic as far south as Stafford County.

Lottery winners aren’t the only ones with any luck: The Virginia Lottery saw record ticket sales in the past year, as the economy continued its recovery and several big-name retailers started selling tickets.
NOKESVILLE, Va. — Two horses are dead in what police are calling a suspicious incident that took place Friday morning in Nokesville.
A 10-year-old thoroughbred mare was found dead in a field. Another, a quarter horse gelding palomino, was found nearby severely injured and had to be put down, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

MANASSAS PARK, Va. — It’s a sunny Friday in early May and delicious smells float through the air in front of the Manassas Park City Hall. Vendors from all over Northern Virginia have gathered for the weekly Farmers Market and the crowds will soon follow.
MANASSAS, Va. — Manassas Assembly of God has a new name: Chapel Springs Assembly of God Church.
The church dropped the Manassas portion of their moniker because they plan to open a new church in Stafford County.
