A Woodbridge man faces charges in a fatal crash on Virginia roads over the Memorial Day weekend – one of seven deadly crashes that occurred on state roads.

Thomas J. Smith, of Woodbridge, faces reckless driving charges in a crash that occurred early Saturday morning on Interstate 95 near Lorton. Rashid K. Humphreys, 30, of Yonkers, N.Y., was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. He was taken to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Virginia State Police reported.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Who likes Prince William County’s new logo? Supervisor Marty Nohe does, and so does the county’s economic development office.

So far, less than $10,000 has been spent on printing the new logo on letterhead and marketing materials. It has also appeared on road signs welcoming visitors to the county.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — The Prince William Chamber of Commerce has placed its Government Advocacy office in Woodbridge.

Chamber officials said the office will be located in an I-95 Business Park at 14000 Crown Court near an old one at the now closed Mason Enterprise Center. It’s one of three centers owned an operated by the Chamber to include their headquarters in Manassas and a satellite office in Gainesville.

DALE CITY, Va. — Congressman Rob Wittman and Delegate Rich Anderson will hold a town hall today to discuss veterans’ issues.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department station on Hillendale Drive in Dale City. The elected officials are expected to discuss sequestration and potential BRAC movements for 2015 and 2017. The region recently finished a round of BRAC relocations as 6,000 military service men and women and civilians were moved to Quantico, and 20,000 were moved to Ft. Belvoir as part of a BRAC order passed in 2005.
