WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Police say a Baptist pastor has resigned from his church and now faces sex charge

A 17-year-old female told police that she and the pastor shared several consensual sexual encounters in April, but that the two began a close friendship in Sept. 2007, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.


DUMFRIES, Va. – A bicyclist was shot in the leg early Saturday in Dumfries.

Police said the male victim was riding in the area of Port O Dumfries on Graham Park Road when three men approached him and threatened to drag him into the woods, said Prince William police spokesman Mark Merriman.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Two men involved in a road rage incident that left 13 rounds fired at a dump truck on Interstate 95 in Woodbridge have been indicted.

The trial for Gabriel Poventud, 25, of 15192 Bannon Way in Woodbridge, begins Dec. 28. He is charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, shooting at an occupied vehicle and reckless handling of a firearm.
