Stafford County, Va. – An elected official’s car has become an apparent target of vandals.
The 44-year-old victim was driving three men to the 15000 Block of Mill Spring Drive, off Holleyside Drive and Spring Branch Boulevard at 3:34 a.m. when one of the men pulled out a knife and demanded money, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
After the robbery, the three fled the scene and police were able to locate the three men, one of which has been charged.
The victim, a pizza delivery man, delivered a pizza pie to a room at a Motel 6 on Warrenton Road (U.S. 17) about 11 p.m. Saturday.
The man was given $20 in exchange for the pizza, but as he turned to leave he was confronted by a man who told him to give back the money, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The girl is a student at Brooke Point High School who told her friend’s mother she had consensual sex with a 31-year-old substitute paraprofessional who works at the high school, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The girl had babysat for the suspect while he coached a field hockey team at the high school on the evening of June 27.
The victim was walking in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway (U.S. 1) and Potomac Hills Drive about 4:30 a.m. Thursday when a man approached him, demanded money, and stabbed the victim when he said he had no cash, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
A tow truck driver saw the victim who was walking along U.S. 1 near Sunnyside Nursery and asked the man if he needed help, but he declined, said Kennedy. The driver then saw a car come a pick up the victim, and police later found the victim with a friend at a pharmacy on Garrisonville Road (Va. 610). The couple was purchasing bandages when deputies found them.
Rescue crews were called about 6 p.m. Tuesday to the 700 block of Perry Drive in the Grafton Village subdivision near Ferry Farm when after the victim son found her lying on the floor suffering a gunshot wound to her upper body, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The victim’s son along with his father had just returned home from work and found the woman not breathing.
The 10-year-old female victim was assaulted over the course of two to three month time period in the by a known acquaintance in the 1700 block of Carter Lane in Woodbridge, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
The assaults were reported by police Monday.
Armed man sought
One man was cut with a knife and now police are looking for a man they say is armed and dangerous.
The FBI has charged Yonathan Melaku in last fall’s shootings at the National Museum of the Marine Corps and Pentagon.
The 22-year-old U.S. Marine reservist was arrested Friday at Arlington National Cemetery after police saw him inside the cemetery in during the overnight hours. Investigators feared he was carrying explosive, bomb-making material in a backpack he was carrying.
