Police said the 35-year-old victim was driving in the 1200 block of Easy Street in Woodbridge when she stopped for a pedestrian crossing the road, and then was approached by four men that surrounded her car at 9:40 a.m. Monday.

One man was armed with a handgun and another with a knife, and both went to the woman’s driver’s side window while the other two stood in front of the car, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

Police in eastern Prince William are canvassing the area helping motorists make sure their vehicles are less enticing to thieves.

Last week in Lake Ridge, brochures were distributed to several cars letting residents know the importance of locking their cars and keeping valuable items out of plain sight.

The driver of a 2007 Mercedes-Benz sedan pulled into the commuter lot off Garrisonville Road (Va. 610) and clipped the bumper of a 2003 Honda that was already parked in a row of other vehicles.

The Mercedes went on to strike a 1996 Mazda pickup injuring a 20-year-old male that was sitting inside the truck, said Virginia State Police Sgt. Les Tyler.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm
On July 16th at 1:58PM, police responded to the 4600 block of Whitaker Pl in Woodbridge (22193) for a call of shots fired. The investigation revealed that the accused had fired a shotgun at a neighbor’s dog as it ran onto a community parking lot. Other people were nearby but not injured. The dog was also uninjured. The accused was arrested and charged.

A man walked into Union Bank on Cambridge Street (U.S. 1) in Falmouth at 11:39 a.m. Monday, gave a teller a note that he demanded cash and that he had a gun. No gun was displayed, but the suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank.

Stafford sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, got the story from witnesses, and began searching the area for suspect, said sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

Eddie Chewing, 18, of 167 Mansfield Street in Fredericksburg, is charged with accessory before the fact in first degree murder and with accessory before the fact in the use of a firearm in commission of a felony, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

He was arrested at his home Thursday night without incident and was held with no bond.

Dale City, Va. –– A string of arrest were made in connection to the rape of a teenage girl and the subsequent burglary that occurred in retaliation to the rape, police said.
