Erasmo Alvarado-Ibarra, aka “Chiquilin,” 28, of Woodbridge, Va., was convicted of conspiring to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. Jose Zuniga-Ruiz, aka “Tio Tony,” 40, of Woodbridge, Va., and Silvestre Castro-Sandoval, aka “Silver,” 36, of Stafford, Va., were both convicted of conspiring to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.

Neil H. MacBride, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; Ava Cooper-Davis, Special Agent in Charge for Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)’s Washington Division; and James W. McJunkin, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, made the announcement after the jury returned the verdict.


A Blackberry cell phone was stolen from the Sport and Health Club at 315 Garrisonville Road on Feb. 1.

Afterward, the cell phone owner’s daughter began receiving text messages on her phone sent from the stolen Blackberry. The messages stated the victim could have her phone back if she paid the suspect $80 cash, said Stafford sheriff’s office spokesman Bill Kennedy. The suspect purchased the phone from a friend from that prince and apparently wanted to recoup her money, said Kennedy.


Woodbridge, Va. — A formerly homeless man whose story of recovery praised by so many now faces charges in a sex case involving an 11-year-old girl.

Danny “J.D.” Glass, a former homeless resident who for many months lived at the Chesapeake Volunteers of America Hilda Barg Homeless Shelter in Woodbridge, is charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault and with two counts of indecent liberties, Prince William police documents state.


The incident occurred about 3:30 Thursday morning in the 13600 block of Kitty Hawk Lane, just off Mary’s Way in Woodbridge.

The 23-year-old woman was walking to her home when a man began following her. When the woman confronted the man, she saw he wasn’t wearing any pants and that he exposed himself to her, according to Prince William police documents.


Police said the victim and the suspect began chatting on the internet, and the man on February 1 drove from Palmyra – a town that sits about 20 minutes away from Charlottesville – to meet the victim in the parking lot of Forest Park High School off Spriggs Road and Va. 234 near Dumfries. Two days later, the man once again drove to the area and met the girl in a parking lot of a Holiday Inn, at 3901 Fettler Park Drive near Dumfries.

Both times the two engaged in sexual acts, according to Prince William police documents.


North Stafford, Va. — A Stafford sheriff’s deputy drew his taser weapon and got into a struggle with a suspect Monday night.

About 9 p.m., witnesses called 911 and reported seeing flashlights near an area with homes under construction as well as containers used for storing construction materials on Bismark Drive.


It happened Monday night in the 2800 block of Barley Court in the Southbridge area of Woodbridge, according to Prince William County police documents.

The victim was inside his house when he heard his dog barking outside, and when he went outside to investigate he was approached by two men, stated police. One of the men had a handgun and demanded money.
