On two separate occasions, one in July of 2012 and the second incident in August of 2012, Laurence Stewart was reported to have exposed himself to two different individuals while sitting in his car at the Stafford Marketplace in North Stafford. Detective Greg Bender has investigated both incidents and his investigation has resulted in the warrants for Stewart’s arrest. Stewart was last seen in the area of North Stafford County in mid August.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is asking assistance in locating Laurence Alan Stewart II.. Indecent Exposure – On October 5th at 10:26AM, police responded to the 16700 block of River Ridge Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) for a suspicious person.

Caller reported to police that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, was seen sitting near a playground by the Children of America daycare facility and exposing himself.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — The bookworm bandits are behind bars facing charges, and employees at Hampton Oaks Elementary School are left to clean up their mess.

Authorities were called to the school at 107 Northampton Boulevard in North Stafford at 1:30 a.m. Sunday after a burglar alarm was triggered.

A former Virginia Railway Express employee pleaded guilty today of taking more than $200,000 in bribes, according to a press release from federal court.

Kevin Wirth Jannell, 49, of Fredericksburg appeared in court for the first time today on charges he accepted up to $4,000 a month between 2003 and March of this year in exchange for favorable evaluations of companies bidding for VRE subcontracts, a press release states.

STAFFORD, Va. — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports that the skeletal remains found in a wooded area near the northbound 140 ramp off of I-95 on Thursday, August 16, 2012 have been identified as Katherine Bryant of Washington, D.C.

As part of the ongoing investigation into this incident, Stafford Detectives have been looking into any missing person reports in the Stafford County region. Using DNA, the skeletal remains that were found on August 16th were identified as Katherine Bryant. Ms. Bryant was reported missing by family members in the summer of 2006. Katherine Bryant was 33 years old when she was reported missing and was last seen in the Washington, D.C. area.

Sexual Battery – On September 21 at 1:20PM, police responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the area of the Cloverdale 7-Eleven located at 14820 Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193).

The victim, a 15 year old female of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the 14800 block of Danville Rd when she was approached by an unknown man. The man began to ask her questions and followed her to the area of the 7-Eleven on Cloverdale Rd.

Malicious Wounding | Felony Child Neglect – On September 13th at 12:38PM, police responded to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge for an unconscious baby. Family members brought the victim, a 5 month old baby girl, to the hospital because she became unresponsive.
