PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A program that investigates the legal status of arrested illegal immigrants in Prince William County will remain in place at least through June.

The jurisdiction is the only one in the U.S. to keep the 287 (g) program following efforts to cut the program in October, said Prince William Board of Supervisors Chairman Corey A. Stewart (At-Large).

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Detectives in Stafford County are investigating what led to the stabbing of a juvenile last night.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to a fight in the Hollymead subdivision Thursday. That tussle involved multiple juveniles – one who was stabbed and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

FROM POLICE REPORTS 

Carjacking – On December 26th at 9:17PM, police responded to the 7900 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) for a carjacking. The victims, a 41 year old woman and a 39 year old man – both of Manassas, reported to police that they had just parked their vehicle in front of their residence in the above area when 3 unknown males suddenly approached the vehicle. At that point, two of the males displayed handguns and ordered the victims from their vehicle. Two of the males then got into the vehicle and fled the area while the remaining suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

FROM POLICE REPORTS

Child Endangerment – On December 22nd at 10:41PM, a police officer stopped a vehicle driven by the accused in the area of Old Bridge Rd and All Saints Pl in Woodbridge (22192). The accused was determined to have been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The accused also had her 3 year old girl not properly secured in the vehicle at the time of vehicle stop. No injuries were reported.
