Stafford sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene of a pedestrian who was struck on Poplar Road.
Authorities tell us the incident followed a fight outside a house.

A report on this scam occurred on Thursday, June 25, at 2:23 p.m., when a deputy was called to a home in Grafton Village for a complaint of fraud, according to a press release from Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, Layug was told that the resident had received a phone call from a woman claiming to be his granddaughter, according to police.
In today’s sheriff’s blotter, authorities tell us a Stafford woman now faces a DUI charge.

A police pursuit in North Stafford ended with a vehicle careening through a gate and crashing into a ditch, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office tells us.
On June 15 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Deputy E. Taylor observed a Mitsubishi Lancer speeding on Garrisonville Road in the area of Doc Stone Road. The vehicle then proceeded through a red light onto Salisbury Drive without stopping.
