Brandishing of a Firearm

On June 14 at 2:09PM, officers responded to the intersection of Liberia Ave. and Centreville Rd. in Manassas (20121) to investigate a brandishing. The victim, a 35-year-old man, reported to police that while turning onto Centreville Rd. from Liberia Ave. a silver Nissan Altima made a U-turn into the victim’s travel path. The victim used his vehicle’s horn and was able to maneuver his vehicle out of the way to avoid a collision. As both vehicles continued traveling north on Centreville Rd. in adjacent lanes, the passenger of the Nissan began waving a firearm in the air. Shortly after, the Nissan turned off of Centreville Rd. and the victim contacted the police. No shots were fired during the encounter.

A black male, between 18-25 years old, with braids in his hair, and carrying a firearm

Intoxicated person

20 Sanford Drive, Holiday Inn, 6/15, 3:45 a.m. Deputy A.M. Cooper responded to the business for a report of a disturbance. The hotel employee reported the suspect, Dylan Heath, 27, of New Hope, Pennsylvania, was asleep on a couch in the lobby. When Heath awoke he began causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy noticed Heath smelled of alcoholic beverages and had slurred speech. Heath was arrested for public intoxication and held until sober at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Larceny

600 block of Kings Highway, 6/15, 8:20 a.m. The victim reported his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle was stolen from the driveway of his residence. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m. on June 15.

Smokewood Court, 6/15, 9:21 a.m. The victim purchased a vehicle and requested the dealership mail the license plates to her residence. She later discovered the license plates were taken from the package after it was delivered on June 14 at 4:30 p.m.

Dorthy Lane, 6/15, 6 p.m. The victim reported the temporary license plates were stolen off of her vehicle while it was parked in the area. The theft occurred sometime between June 10 and June 15.

On June 14 at 12:33AM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the Woodbridge (22193) area of Prince William County on the morning of June 13. The investigation revealed that the victim, an 11-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, identified as the accused. While investigating, officers located the accused in the Manassas area where he was taken in custody, and also determined to be intoxicated. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Christopher RODRIGUEZ, was arrested.

Attempted Abduction – On June 10 at 10:48PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Heatherbrook Ct. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted abduction. The victim, an 11-year- old girl, reported to police that she heard a knocking at her second story window and opened the window to look out. As she was leaning out of the window looking around, an unknown male wrapped his arms around her and both parties fell to the deck below. The victim immediately got up and ran to the front of the house where she notified a family member about the incident. The suspect was observed running away from the home. No injuries were reported. While canvassing, a witness reported to police that during the incident timeframe, he observed an unknown, possibly teenaged male outside of the victim’s second story window talking to someone inside the room. The only suspect description was a male with a medium build and approximately 5’6”.

Shooting Investigation – On June 12 at 5:17AM, officers responded to the intersection of Georgetown Rd. and Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The victim, a 19-year-old man, reported to police that he was stopped at the above intersection when an unknown man approached his vehicle. During the encounter, the suspect knocked on the driver’s window and demanded the victim get out of the car. The victim did not respond and began to drive away when the suspect fired a round striking the victim. The victim drove to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The only suspect description was a male, possibly wearing a gray sweatshirt.

Shooting Investigation – On June 11 at 9:43AM, officers responded to the 4100 block of Hoffman Dr. in Dale City (22193) to investigate a shooting. The victim, a 44-year-old woman, reported to police that earlier that morning she heard the sound of glass breaking in her vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, she observed the rear window was shattered and a hole was in the windshield. Video surveillance footage revealed that at approximately 1:36AM, a shot was fired from a four-door sedan that was seen driving by the residence. The investigation revealed that the round entered the victim’s vehicle through the rear window and traveled through the driver’s side headrest before hitting the windshield and continuing into the siding the of the home. The round did not enter the home. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

An investigation into a burglary of a vape shop led to arrests in two separate theft cases.

On April 29 at 12:18 a.m., deputies responded to Vapamotive Vape Shop (1036 Warrenton Road) for a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, they found the glass front door of the business shattered and merchandise scattered on the ground. Numerous containers of vape juice were reported stolen.

Detective H.D. Young was assigned the case and identified two suspects, Joseph Wells, 18, of Stafford, and a 14-year-old male juvenile. The investigation revealed Wells threw a weight through the glass front door and both suspects entered the store at 11:23 p.m. on April 28. They filled bags with vape juice containers and then fled the business. It is suspected Wells used Snapchat to sell the stolen items.

A 35-year-old man is behind bars in connection with car theft and the subsequent car fire that took place in December.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Grand Larceny Auto | Arson Investigation *ARREST – On June 8, the suspect wanted in connection to the vehicle theft that was reported to have occurred in the 14100 block of Minnieville Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) on December 11, was arrested. The suspect, Martinez Juan ROBERTSON, was located and taken into custody by members of the Fairfax County Police Department.

Commercial Burglary – On June 8 at 8:42 a.m., officers responded to the Glass City Tobacco Store located at 7600 Gardner Park Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. When the owner of a nearby business arrived in the area that morning, he observed the front glass door of the store was damaged and immediately contacted the police. The video surveillance footage revealed that two unknown individuals used an object to shatter the glass front door before entering the store. Vaporizers were reported missing.

Police did not release the video footage.

Suspect Descriptions:
A male of the unknown race last seen wearing a black Nike skull cap, a black one-piece jumpsuit, and carrying a black Adidas backpack

Boundary Drive, 6/1, 8:21 a.m. The victim reported his robotic lawnmower was stolen from his lawn. The theft is believed to have occurred between 5 p.m. on May 30 and 8 a.m. on June 1.

3999 Jefferson Davis Highway, All About Auto, 6/1, 10:37 a.m. The business owner reported a blue 2011 Dodge Ram was stolen while it was at the shop to be worked on. The theft is believed to have occurred between 9 p.m. on May 31 and 10 a.m. on June 1.
