October has arrived, and with it, at six-feet-apart, the Friends of the Occoquan conducted their fall cleanup.
A total of 132 masked volunteers arrived on October 10 at Occoquan and the Lake Ridge Park and Marina in Lake Ridge.

On Saturday and Sunday, October 24, 25, respectively, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. First Home Alliance will hold a financial emergency clinic to help those struggling to say in their homes due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, located at 13020 Telegraph Road in Woodbridge. Participants will be able to drive up in their cars and then speak to someone on-site for the intake process, to maintain social distancing,

To design the park, the Charlie Boone Trails Memorial Foundation partnered with Pillar Design Studios and Artisan Skateparks.
Sentara announced a merger with another regional healthcare provider based in North Carolina.

While it may be quiet on campus as students will return the classroom virtually this fall, construction is underway at two Woodbridge-area high schools.
Auxilliary gymnasiums are being added to Gar-Field Senior and Woodbridge Senior High Schools in Woodbridge and Lake Ridge, respectively. The new gyms at both schools will 21,000 square-foot large when completed.

Police are looking for a man they say pulled out a box cutter and used it during a fight on board an OmniRide bus.
Police were were called July 31, at 8:22 a.m to Prince William Parkway and Worth Avenue in Woodbridge to investigate a report of a fight on a bus. A 33-year-old victim told police that he and another man got into a fight, and then the the suspect used the box cutter to slice the victim’s leg before he ran off the bus.
Many have been struggling to make ends meet on their bills since the coronavirus outbreak, and now Columbia Gas of Virginia is giving its customers a break when it comes to paying their bills.

According to a Prince William County Government press release, to obtain free coronavirus testing and results, citizens must provide full name, phone number, and a home or work address that proves residence in the stated above areas.
The G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge was once home to minor league baseball, but it will soon become a temporary drive-in theater.
The idea, called ‘Movies at the Pfitz,’ was conceived by Ben Hazekamp, a financial advisor, and Valerie Meale, a business development manager at Whitlock Wealth Management in Lake Ridge. They contacted Seth Hendler-Voss, Director of Prince William County Parks and Recreation, who supported the idea and aided in making it possible.
