The Fredericksburg Food Co-op is gearing up for its annual Food for All 5K, a community-driven event aimed at increasing access to fresh, nutritious food for individuals and families in need.

The race will take place on Saturday, April 12, at the Fredericksburg Food Co-op, located at 320 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, welcoming participants of all ages to run, walk, or support the cause in person or virtually.

The event directly benefits the Co-op’s Food for All initiative, which offers affordable and nutritious food options through the Carrot Cash program. This program provides 20% cashback to customers using SNAP/EBT, allowing them to stretch their grocery budgets while making healthy choices.

“We believe that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food, and the Food for All 5K is a fantastic way for the community to come together in support of that mission,” said Suzie Grumko, General Manager of the Fredericksburg Food Co-op.

  • How to Participate
    Registration is now open online.
  • Early bird pricing is available until March 1.
  • Each registered participant will receive a commemorative race t-shirt.
  • Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers.

Virtual participation is available for those unable to attend in person, and donations can be made directly to the initiative at fxbgfood.coop.
