Earlier in the day, a 59-year-old man was assaulted in an attempted robbery on Sudley Rd. The suspect demanded the victim’s backpack and struck him when he refused. The victim managed to keep his belongings but was injured and treated at a hospital. The suspect remains at large.

Additionally, a death investigation is underway after a 53-year-old man was found dead in a vehicle on Sudley Rd. No foul play is suspected at this time.


In a separate incident, officers responded to reports of an individual running into traffic in Haymarket. The suspect, under the influence, attempted to headbutt an officer and caused damage to a police vehicle. The 27-year-old male from Centreville was arrested without further incident.

Additionally, a 20-year-old man from Dumfries was arrested for indecent exposure at a Walmart on Richmond Hwy. He was found undressed and chasing customers, later determined to be under the influence.


A 22-year-old man from Fredericksburg was arrested in connection with a sexual assault that occurred at a commuter lot in Woodbridge on October 21. The suspect, taken into custody by the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, faces charges of abduction with intent to defile, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, forcible sodomy, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

In a separate incident, a 44-year-old man was robbed and assaulted by four unknown men in Manassas. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and other property before fleeing the scene.


A man was arrested on Hurkemp and Brooke roads for impersonating a police officer, police said.

The suspect, a 33-year-old male from Lake Charles, Louisiana, was found walking in the middle of the road, yelling and screaming. When approached by Deputy S. C. Steinway, he initially claimed to have a Secret Service identification card.


Deputies in Stafford County were called to a residence on Goose Pond Road following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found no emergency, identifying the call as a swatting incident. This dangerous prank involves falsely reporting a serious crime to provoke a large police response.

Earlier that day, a resident on Chadwick Drive fell victim to a fraud scheme. The individual was scammed by someone posing as a Dish Network representative, resulting in a significant financial loss.


“A person reported that their luggage rack was stolen from the top of their vehicle in the 1200 block of Gateway Boulevard,” Fredericksburg Police reported. “In separate incidents, individuals in the 1000 block of Sam Perry Boulevard and the 3100 block of Plank Road reported that their credit cards were stolen.”

Among those charged were Dominique Kane Vinson, 30, of Stafford, for failure to comply with a support obligation, and Jason Duane Brown, 38, of Stafford, and Guillermo Antonio Medrano, 44, of Fairfax, both charged with possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.


A Stafford man was arrested following a DUI incident on the 2600 block of Richmond Highway. Deputies responded to a vehicle accident and found a visibly intoxicated individual who provided false identification. The suspect attempted to flee on foot, leading to a brief pursuit and struggle before being taken into custody. He refused sobriety testing, and a search revealed discarded beer cans nearby.

In a separate incident, a Charlottesville man was arrested for assault and battery at the Red Roof Inn on Warrenton Road. The altercation stemmed from a vehicle repossession dispute, and the vehicle owner was identified as the primary aggressor.


A robbery at a 7-Eleven on Deacon Road in Stafford led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man. The suspect initially entered the store to purchase a drink but later attempted to steal cigars. After being confronted by a clerk, he assaulted her and left with the drink. Deputies quickly apprehended him outside the store, charging him with robbery.

In another incident, a DUI arrest was made at the intersection of Courthouse Road and Richmond Highway. A 22-year-old driver was found slumped over the wheel with an open bottle of tequila in the vehicle. After failing sobriety tests, he was charged with driving under the influence and other related offenses.


“On Thursday, October 23, 2025, at approximately 6:49 a.m., deputies from the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Patriot Highway and Southpoint Parkway,” the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office reported. “Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male lying in the roadway… the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Investigators said the driver, who remained on scene and is cooperating, had the green light and no time to react when the pedestrian attempted to run across the highway. The victim has not yet been identified, and next of kin are being notified.


“Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious vehicles or activity in the area of Minnieville Rd between the PW Pkwy and Dale Blvd, including side streets, on the morning of Oct. 20… to contact police,” the Prince William County Police Department stated.

“On October 20 at 12:12PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Dodson Dr in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed a United States Postal Service carrier was delivering mail… when their vehicle was approached by an unknown masked man who implied he was armed. The suspect took several packages from the truck before leaving the area in an older white sedan,” police said.
