Fake ICE Agent Reported in Woodbridge, Robbery Arrest at Manassas Mall, and Another Shoplifting Incident

Police are investigating a disturbing report of a man impersonating a federal agent at Glen Ridge Commons Apartments in Woodbridge. On December 10, a resident said the man aggressively banged on their door around 1 p.m., wearing a black plate carrier marked “ICE,” a badge, a holstered firearm, and a black mask. He claimed to be an ICE agent, but the resident did not open the door. Authorities later confirmed he is not affiliated with any law enforcement agency.

In a separate case, a 46-year-old woman with no fixed address has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place at Macy’s in Manassas Mall on November 6. The woman allegedly pulled a knife when store security tried to stop her for shoplifting. She was arrested on December 10 and is being held without bond.

Also in Manassas, a strong-arm robbery occurred at Marshalls on December 9. A man confronted for suspected shoplifting forcibly took back the merchandise and threatened an employee before fleeing. No injuries were reported.

*Armed Robbery ARREST – On December 10, officers arrested the suspect, identified as Kentra Danaille SCOTT, who was determined to be involved in the robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Macy’s at Manassas Mall located at 8270 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) on November 6.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On November 6 at 11:10AM, officers responded to the Macy’s at Manassas Mall located at 8270 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shoplifting. The investigation revealed loss prevention staff had attempted to stop an unknown man in the parking lot for shoplifting. During the encounter, the man displayed a knife before leaving the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Officers checked the area for the suspect who was not located.

Strong-Arm Robbery – On December 9 at 5:36PM, officers responded to Marshalls located at 10630 Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed loss prevention staff had approached a man for concealing merchandise. During the encounter, staff received the property before the man forcibly took the item back before threatening the employee and leaving the store. No injuries were reported. The suspect was described as a black male wearing black pants, a black shirt, black jacket, black sunglasses, and brown shoes.

Suspicious Activity | Impersonating Law Enforcement – On December 10 at 4:29PM, officers responded to investigate a suspicious person that was reported to have occurred at the Glen Ridge Commons Apartments located in the 12800 block of Island House Lp in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that afternoon at approximately 1:00PM. The investigation revealed an unknown man approached an apartment and proceeded to aggressively bang on the door. A resident of the apartment reported the man was wearing a holstered firearm, black plate carrier with a badge on the chest, a black mask, gloves, and a black t-shirt with patches on the shoulders reading “ICE”. The man also reportedly identified himself as an ICE agent to the resident through the door. The resident never opened their door, and the man eventually left the area. Officers contacted U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement who confirmed the man was not associated with their agency. The man was believed to be white, mid 20s-mid 30s, 6’2” and approximately 240lbs.
