Toastmasters International District 29 will host its annual Spring Conference on May 3 and 4 at the Hyatt Fairfax at Fair Lakes, Virginia. District 29 includes Toastmaster Clubs in Northern Virginia and all District 29 members are encouraged to attend. Visit www.d2gtm.org to register. MANASSAS, Va. — A dog was found dead in a trashcan, it’s mouth and feet each bound with duct tape.
A second dog was found injured alongside a street was taken to an area veterinarian for treatment, and now a Manassas area man faces a string of charges.
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A Woodbridge man faces charges of assault and battery after a woman was beat up at a party.
It happened Friday night when the 25-year-old victim told police she was at a home in the 3300 block of Blazer Loop in Woodbridge she got into an argument with the person she came to the gathering with. That argument escalated and she was then forced into a bathroom where she was assaulted by the acquaintance, according to a police report.

MANASSAS, Va. — On Saturday May 4, Crossroads Realty, PWC Entertainment and other area vendors will hold a special concert at the Olde Town Sports Pub. The Rock Show, a Journey tribute band, and the Rick Sickman Band will play hits songs from the 1980s. Proceeds from the show will go to benefit Operation Renewed Hope an organization that helps homeless veterans.
MANASSAS, Va. – The man who once oversaw Manassas’ government will lead it once more.
Larry Hughes will take over as interim City Manager at the end of May, the Manassas City Council announced tonight.
