Oscar is a wonderful boy with a sad story that BTRVA plans to turn into a happy ending! BTRVA received a call from a very upset young lady who stumbled onto Oscar’s situation. He had been abandoned in a home with no food or water.

He was promptly transferred into our care by this good samaritan and we are nursing him back to health. Oscar has dry eye from the lack of nutrition, which will be easily treated, an ear infection, and he is about 10 lbs. underweight.

Meet Levi! He is a dog-friendly, child-friendly neutered little guy. Levi is not very big and only weighs about 40 lbs. He’s a very sweet boy who does well with other dogs of his size. He just arrived into rescue, so we’re going to get to know him a bit and then he will start reviewing forever family applications. Let us know if Levi might fit in with your family! Go to www.btrva.org/adoption-inquiry and get the ball rolling!

It’s the season for the mighty migration of the Monarch Butterflies and Great Country Farms wants to make a difference. Together with local Girl Scouts, they plan to design and build a Monarch butterfly garden & educate others on how they can help. Join us Saturday, July 20 to be a part of it.

The Monarch Butterfly population is waning and they need your help. But why are Monarch butterflies important to the environment? Monarch butterflies are pollinators. During the Monarchs huge migration, they pass over areas where pollination is a problem. So Monarchs can help pollinate plant life in suffering areas.
