MANASSAS PARK, Va. —  It hasn’t gone to the dogs yet, but Manassas Park has made it into the finals in a competition to receive a newly constructed dog park.

The city located inside Prince William County is a participant in the “Bark for Your Park” contest where $100,000 is up for grabs for construction of a new park. PetSafe is sponsoring the contest, and that’s where you can go vote to help the city win.

Keystone College celebrated its 143rd commencement during ceremonies on the college’s campus in La Plume, Pa., on Saturday, May 17. Degrees were conferred upon 338 students.

Keystone President Dr. David L. Coppola presided over the ceremony. Accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist and Keystone alumnus, David L. Turock ’77, provided the keynote address. Outstanding graduates Melissa Cruise, Scranton, and Amanda Mathis, Factoryville, also addressed their classmates. Dr. Thea Harrington, provost and dean of the college, and Thomas “Tim” Speicher ’72, chair of Keystone’s board of trustees, conferred the degrees to the graduates.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — When he started breaking things and taking off his clothes, police said that’s when the 911 caller picked up the phone.

A man was taken into custody about 6:15 a.m. Sunday outside a home on Mountain View Road in Stafford County. The suspect came to the house and began yelling frantically at those inside.
