From Prince William police:

Fatal Crash Investigation – On August 5 at 6:30AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Sudley Rd and Coverstone Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a two vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2012 Toyota RAV4 was attempting to make a right turn onto southbound Sudley Rd from Coverstone Dr.

*MISSING ENDANGERED ADULT: The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing, endangered adult, Erica Janelle Hickson. On the morning of August 5th, officers responded to the 12300 block of Pond Run Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a missing person. The investigation revealed that Ms. Hickson was last seen at approximately 8:30PM on August 4th in the area. Ms. Hickson may be in need of assistance which qualifies her as being endangered. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at 703-792-6500.


Obituaries

Alfred “Al” J. Bahr, 77, of Dumfries, Va, passed away peacefully at his home on July 29, 2016. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Al will be remembered fondly for his many years of service to his country, community, and the Catholic Church.

The son of the late Alfred and Margaret Ann (Haggerty) Bahr, Al was born Nov. 8, 1938. He grew up in Arlington, Va., and attended St. Thomas More Elementary School and St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C.

The Prince Willaim County School Board must decide who will become a temporary replacement for one of its eight members.

Brentsville District representative Gil Trenum, a Naval Commander, will deploy for duty to Djibouti, Africa this month. It’s the first time “in many years” Trenum has been deployed, he told the School Board in July, adding that the Navy gave him only a short notice to pack his bags.
