WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Environmental officials on Tuesday said the EPA continues to investigate the release of 27 million gallons of water from a Prince William County coal ash pond in 2015.
Dominion Power, which owns the pond next to the Possum Point Power Station on the Potomac River near Dumfries, released the untreated water in April 2015. While the EPA is investigating this specific water release, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Northern Virginia Regional Director Tom Faha said discharged was allowed under the state-issued permit Dominion was using at the time.
Annette Arrington, 41, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Fairfax Hospital. She was born 4 days before Christmas on December 21, 1975 in Alexandria, Virginia. She was the baby girl of Anne Arrington, who preceded her in death, and Leon Hill.
Annette graduated from Osbourne High School in 1995. She was already working part time through high school and after graduation she began a full time schedule at local fast food places. She worked at Burger King, and later at Popeyes for many years. She then decided to take her career in a different direction and told her daddy that she wanted to see what it was like to work in retail. She joined the Target Corporation Management team located in Manassas Mall and was there for many years until they closed the store in 2013. She was loved so much by her staff and her customers. Although Target offered her to transfer to one of their other stores, she did not take the offer due to her not wanting to drive. She decided on a job working for Ross as the shipping and receiving warehouse manager and although challenging, she loved it. Annette loved working and taking care of her family.
