From Manassas City Police Department:
At 1:10 a.m. on April 17, 2017, Manassas City Police responded to 9000 block of Centreville Rd for a report of shots fired. Officers located a 25-year-old male victim who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the family. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

Malicious Wounding | Abduction – On April 13 at 5:13 p.m., officers responded to a nearby hospital to investigate an assault. The victims, who were identified as 16 and 17-year-old juvenile males and an 18-year-old man, all of Woodbridge, reported to police that earlier that afternoon, they were driving in a vehicle near the intersection of Florida and Maryland Avenues in Woodbridge when a man, who was later identified as the accused, positioned his vehicle in front of their vehicle, preventing it from leaving. On Thursday, April 13th at 8:47 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire located in the 15700 block of Palmero Terrace in Woodbridge.
Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed an outside fire on the second floor of the three-story mid-row townhouse that had extended into the home and through the roof. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
Jacqueline Smith is running for the office of Clerk of the Circuit Court, Prince William County.
She’s running in a Special Election against current House of Delegates member Jackson Miller.
Joan Buckohr Kuhn, age 83 of Manassas, VA died on April 15, 2017 at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
She was born on August 21, 1933, daughter of the late John Albert Buckohr and Josephine Fetters Buckohr.

Henry Robert Hauser, 84, of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He had retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant. He had also retired from BDM Corporation in McLean.
Just in time for spring cleaning, the Donation Drop Spot, previously known as “The Donation Place,” will reopen on April 19. Located in the Citizens’ Convenience Area at the Prince William County Landfill, The Donation Drop Spot will reopen on April 19 for the collection of a variety of reusable household items and clothing.
The hours of collection at the landfill will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and an attendant will be there to assist donors and provide a receipt. The Balls Ford Road Compost Facility will have bins available from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for small household items and clothing.
