Down but not out: Stewart returns to Prince William with 2 more years as county’s top elected leader
Corey Stewart regularly makes a good political showing in Prince William County.
When he won a 2015 bid to keep his seat as County Board Chairman, At-large, the Republican beat his Democratic opponent winning 57% of the vote. He not only did well in the county’s more conservative western precincts, but he also did well in mid-county precincts like Coles, Penn, Marshall, Hylton, and Spriggs.
A total of $2.5 million has been set aside for the study and planning of a new parking garage at the Manassas Park Virginia Railway Express Station.
The commuter railroad is in the process of completing a study that examines what type of parking garage is needed at the busy station, as well as what type of pedestrian improvements are needed.

Freda Orleida Bailey, age 73 of Manassas, VA died at Reston Hospital Center on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
She was born on August 21, 1943 in West Virginia, daughter of the late James Harvey and Anna Bell Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Lee Bailey.
