Joyce Geraldine Hackworth Miller passed away on September 15, 2017 in Gainesville, VA. She was a dearest mother, grandmother, friend and aunt. She was born on August 24, 1933 in Ruble, Missouri and was preceded in death by her husband, Warren L. Miller, brother James Earl Hackworth, sister Irma Josephine Spotswood and infant son, Gregory Randall Bucher. Survived by her son, Gary L. Bucher (Liz), granddaughters Lauren and Claire and dear nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be scheduled for family and friends at a later date. The world is a better place because of her love and kindness. She will be greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers, the family ask tor donations to wholekidsoutreach.org or the charity of your choice.
We have just-released photos of the man police say walked into a SunTrust bank on Kevin Walker Drive in Montclair on Saturday and robbed the place.

Residents who live aboard Quantico Marine Corps Base are reporting a funky discoloration to their water.
For the past three days, Quantico officials say they’ve received multiple phone calls from concerned residents who say the water color is off. That has led to the additional testing of the water on base, and officials tell us they’re looking for the cause of the problem.
An 11-year-old boy is recovering after he was struck by a truck while riding his bicycle outside his Stafford County home.
Stafford authorities are now looking for the driver who struck the child on Saturday afternoon.
Those who want to surrender an animal to the Prince William County Animal Shelter are being turned away.
The shelter is out of space and cannot accept any new animals from owners who can no longer care for them.
Rowena V. Cox, age 88, of Spring Hill, Florida formerly of Virginia passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Florida.
She was born on June 30, 1929 in Falls Church, Virginia the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy (Potter) Ellicott. She retired from Fairfax County.
