Obituaries

As a young man Ron served his country from 1961-1965 in the United States Air Force. Until his retirement he made his living as a project manager in the construction industry. First in the Pittsburgh, PA region followed by relocation to the Northern Virginia area in the early 80’s. He was an extremely knowledgeable and skilled builder, always willing to lend these abilities to those needing his insight or hands-on assistance.

Ron was an avid history buff and in his spare time would often be found watching a wide array of history based television shows. He was a longtime, loyal, Pittsburgh Steelers fan and for the past several seasons he watched the Baltimore Orioles almost nightly, often surrounded by his much loved cats Paloosa, Solo, and QT. Rarely seen without his trademark beard and mustache, Ron was a guy’s guy but always warm with an easygoing personality. He truly cared about those in his life. Ron will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He fought the fight, finished the race, kept the faith, and is now reaping his eternal reward.
