Each semester, Bard College at Simon’s Rock recognizes superior scholarship through the Dean’s List. Madison Alicea, of Dumfries, VA, has earned a place on the Dean’s List for the Spring 2018 semester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must carry 14 or more credits and achieve a grade point average of 3.5.

Interstate 95 paving improvements will be underway in Stafford County between Exit 140 (Courthouse Road) and the Prince William County line during July and August, and drivers can expect nighttime delays on Sunday-Thursday evenings.

WOODBRIDGE    At a recent meeting of the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors, Donna Flory was named as the Prince William County Volunteer of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2018. Donna was nominated by Desiree Wolfe with the Office of Executive Management and the award was presented by Gail Macdonald, the county’s Senior Human Resources Manager, for Donna’s service as Prince William County’s official Bugle and Trumpet Player.

LAKE RIDGE — A transportation hotspot in Prince William County getting some new attention is an area off Minnieville Road marked by Telegraph Road to the south, and Summit School Road to the north.

On the recently released six-year plan adopted by the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, the authority allotted $11 million widen Telegraph and extend Summit School Road, enhancing this area as a commuter destination.
