WOODBRIDGE — Kevin McGee will leave his post as chief of the Prince William County Fire and Rescue Department.
McGee announced his retirement today, effective March 22, 2019. His last day as the system chief that oversees both career and volunteer firefighters is January 11, 2019.
STAFFORD — (Press Release) A suspect was arrested by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office in the early hours of Saturday morning for reckless handling of a firearm.
On December 15, 2018, Deputies Potter and Kellam responded to a reported domestic incident with a weapon on the 100 block of Colebrook Road. Several callers reported hearing shots fired in the area.
WOODBRIDGE — (Press Release) Bank Robbery – On December 14 at 9:15 a.m., officers responded to the Smoketown Road in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery.
The investigation revealed that an unknown man entered the bank then approached the teller counter. During the encounter, the suspect United Bank located at 13870 Smoketown Road implied he had a weapon and demanded money.

Mrs. Wanda Wall Lawson went to be with her Lord on December 15, 2018. She was a resident of Massanutten, VA for the past 13 years. Formerly a resident of Woodbridge, Va. for over 40 years. Wanda was born December 16, 1923 in Princeton, WVa. to Mr. and Mrs. John Clarence Wall.
Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years, Mr. James E. Lawson, Sr. Her sister Violet Wall Gillock and both of her brothers Clayton Shelby Wall and Bill Clarence Wall.
A systems engineer from Occoquan was killed Friday in a plane crash.
Leonardo Ospina-Villada died after his small fixed-wing, single-engine plane crashed in Spotsylvania County at 7:40 a.m. Ospina-Villanda had just taken off from Shannon Airport in Fredericksburg.
