“It’s Pastry Stout Party time!” Always Flavored announced. “This amazing beer is brewed by our friends at 6 Bears & A Goat in collaboration with the legends at Paul’s Bakery.”

The brewery will tap one of the rare kegs of Paul’s Bakery Pastry Stout on Friday, November 14, at 3 p.m. The beer, described as “dessert in a glass,” is made with chocolate-custard donuts and homemade custard, featuring notes of cocoa and vanilla.

Manassas

A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after being assaulted by a group he had confronted for vandalizing a vehicle at Brentwood Apartments in Manassas. The attack left him with facial lacerations, and police say the suspects fled on dirt bikes and a scooter into Prince William County.

The incident occurred just after 8:20 p.m. when the victim approached four individuals seen damaging a car. After the assault, they were seen riding into the Georgian Hamlet neighborhood and then onto Sudley Road.


Weather

“We are forecasting a colder-than-average December, with D.C.’s first inch of snow falling before the end of the month,” FOX 5 DC reported. “January we expect will be slightly colder than normal, and we are forecasting it to be the snowiest month of the winter.”

Stafford

A familiar name in books has opened in North Stafford. Books-A-Million has opened its doors at 1240 Stafford Market Place, Suite 101, filling a long-missed gap in the community since the old Borders bookstore closed its doors years ago.

The new store, located at Stafford Marketplace, held its ribbon-cutting ceremony this week in partnership with the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. Residents and local business leaders joined to celebrate the long-anticipated arrival of a new bookstore in the growing North Stafford retail corridor.

“The Stafford Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) hired a marketing consultant to assist us in increasing our fuel sales, which are a significant portion of our revenue,” Stafford Regional Airport Authority stated.

Prince William

“The whole blood program, developed in collaboration with Inova Blood Donor Services, embodies the community spirit of neighbor helping neighbor,” Chief Tom LaBelle of the Prince William County Fire and Rescue System stated. “Each contribution from a community member enables EMS and hospital teams to work together to save the lives of others in their time of greatest need.”

In the coming months, the county’s Fire and Rescue System will deploy three vehicles stocked with whole blood, strategically positioned in the east, west, and mid-county areas. The units will operate around the clock and undergo quarterly recertification to maintain readiness.


Prince William

“Prince William County invites you to the swearing-in ceremony of George T. Stewart, new Gainesville District Supervisor, on Friday, November 14,” Prince William County Government announced.

In one of Prince William County’s most closely watched races, Democrat George T. Stewart narrowly defeated Republican Patrick R. Harders to win the Gainesville District seat on the Prince William Board of County Supervisors. According to unofficial results from the Virginia Department of Elections, Stewart received 50.47% of the vote (12,579 votes) to Harders’ 48.77% (12,156 votes). Write-in candidates accounted for 0.75% (188 votes).
