OCCOQUAN – The 50th Anniversary of the Occoquan Arts and Crafts Shows still has openings for spring volunteers, particularly to staff bus stops, the information booth, or to provide periodic vendor assistance.
Volunteers are requested for four-hour shifts on both Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. Most position openings are on Sunday, but assistance for Saturday morning setup is also welcome.

While the Virginia Department of Transportation suspended most road closures until noon Tuesday, May 28 to ease travel for Memorial Day weekend, road crews will be back on the job Tuesday night.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Prince William County officials are debating whether or not to allow voters to decide on allow them to borrow $600 million for new parks and roads projects.
A total of $200,000 would be used for parks and $400,000 for roads.

QUANTICO — (Press release) As it has done for nearly 40 years, the Potomac Region Veterans Council (PRVC), in partnership with Quantico National Cemetery and Marine Corps Base Quantico, will host the annual PRVC Memorial Day Ceremony at Quantico National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019.
