Event

Join me during this National Craft Open Studios weekend, a celebration of Amrican craft organized by the American Craft Council (ACC). Come visit my studio July 18-19th, 11am-5pm at 10449 Metropolitan Ave, Kensington, MD. Please drop in, see how my work is created, tour my studio and try your hand at hammering some metal.

Those interested in forming a neighborhood watch program on their streets are encouraged to attend training on Dec. 9, 2019, at 7 p.m.

Learn how to work with the Police Department to keep your neighborhood safe, or to make it safer. Members of current Neighborhood Watch programs are welcome to attend. Topics covered include crime reporting, burglary prevention, Neighborhood Watch guidelines and a Q&A session.

Quantico

Brighten up the holidays at the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico on December 3 at 4 p.m. with the lighting of the 30 ft. Christmas tree.

It is fitting that 75 years later we should continue to honor those sacrifices. The official “tree lighter” is Jack Elliott, a WWII veteran who also served in Korea and Vietnam and currently serves as a docent at the Museum.
