A historical marker noting the location of the old Woodbridge Airport was destroyed.
A vehicle that crashed on Old Bridge Road early Sunday morning took out the marker. It was installed on Old Bridge Road near the Lake Ridge Festival shopping center on October 29, 2019.
Edith Arbogast, 89, of Alexandria died January 18, 2020 in her home.

The observation tower overlooking the Manassas Regional Airport has reached the end of its useful life.
The nearly 60-year-old structure is wrought with issues, to include the air conditioning not being able to keep pace with the heat generated by the electronics inside the tower, to the most serious: those in the tower can’t get a full view of the airport’s runway, which was extended by 500 feet in 2012.

Manassas police say a search warrant was being carried out at Corriander Circle, near the Wellington Station shopping center, and that’s the reason for the large police presence there.

Kathy Lynn Bradish, 65 of Woodbridge, VA died on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. She was born in North Carolina in 1954 to the late Arthur and Miriam Louise Kumro.
Kathy is survived by her two loving children, Amanda Ross (Kenny), and Richard Bradish (Melanie), her cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Aiden, Keira and Harvey. She is also survived by her brother Richard Kumro (Kaare Phillips) and two nieces, Alison (Oliver Martin-Robinson) and Olivia, as well as aunts and numerous cousins.
Press release | A Bridge beam installation for the new Poplar Tree Road bridge over Route 28 will require the closure of Route 28 between Braddock Road and Westfields Boulevard during the overnight hours Monday, Jan. 27, through Thursday, Jan. 30.
Closures are planned for Route 28 North the first two nights, followed by Route 28 South the next two nights. Closures are needed to safely install bridge beams over the roadway and ramps.
