Stanley Martin Homes wants to develop 141 acres of land just outside Manassas, at the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Liberia Avenue.

In order for the development to be built as proposed, the county must amend its comprehensive plan for the area, which had originally called for more commercial and office space in the area.

Eavesdrop Brewery has been issued a new license from the Virginia ABC to operate as a brewpub.

Prior to this licensing change, Eavesdrop was only able to offer its patrons craft beers with special occasions where they could serve wine, cider, and seltzer under a banquet license. 


Leroy A. Wilson, affectionately known as “Dad”, “Pop Pop”, and “Big Daddy” was the second child born February 6, 1949 to the late John and Lena Wilson Sr.  He accepted Christ at an early age at Zion Baptist Church, Kinsale, VA.

Leroy attended the Northumberland County Public Schools, graduating from Central High School.  After high school, Leroy was drafted into the United States Army Infantry Branch located in Fort Jackson, SC, where he served during the Vietnam War.  Leroy received the Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Marksman Rifle Badge just to name a few.

Join the New Dominion Choraliers put on a concert to honor the 250th Anniversary of the USA! The music in this choral concert captures the heart and soul of the American spirit through patriotic tunes and songs from the heartland. Joining the chorus are dancers from Dance Etc. School of the Arts and accompaniment from the talented members of Legacy Brass.

This family friendly and FREE event is perfect for young and old. Kids, parents, and grandparents will be familiar with many of the songs in this inspirational program. There are two opportunities to attend: Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 pm or Sunday, May 3 at 3:30 p.m.
