Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center announced the opening of its second cardiac catheterization laboratory.
The second “cath” lab at Prince William Medical Center in Manassas will help to meet the region’s growing demand for heart and vascular services including coronary artery, vascular and electrophysiology procedures.

Updated March 4, 2020 | Due to the anticipated spread of the Coronavirus, Westminster at Lake Ridge has temporarily canceled all outside activities at their facilities, meaning the Lake Ridge Chorale performance of “Then and Now,” scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, in the Potomac Room of Westminster, has been canceled.

Hal Parrish II is hanging up the mayor’s sash at the end of the year. The three-term Manassas City mayor announced he won’t seek reelection this fall.
Parrish gathered a group of about 25 people — mostly family, friends, and fellow city council members — Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Okras restaurant in Downtown Manassas. While there, he went around the room recognizing each person, praising them individually, and then announced his retirement, sources told Potomac Local News.
Prince William County Public Schools officials are monitoring the coronavirus outbreak.
“Prince William County Schools staff are closely monitoring the situation and a collaborative working group is developing specific plans in the event any changes to school operations are required. Additional guidance will be provided as developed and as necessary,” a school division press release states.
