Karen P. Booker, 77, of Woodbridge Virginia, passed away and went to the LORD on August, 23rd, 2020.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV, June 24th, 1943. After graduating from Washington Irving High School, she married Frederick C. Booker, August 10th, 1963 in Harpers Ferry, WV.

A homeless shelter could replace Grace Church in Dumfries.
The Town Council will hold a public hearing at its September 15 meeting to decide whether or not to issue a zoning text amendment to allow the shelter to open inside the church at 1006 Williamstown Drive.
Tropical Storm Laura is expected to reach hurricane status as it makes landfall in the Gulf Coast tonight. Extreme winds and flash flooding along the Northwest Gulf Coast are expected, as well as a catastrophic storm surge.
Laura’s trajectory will send it northeast from Texas and Louisiana.
Back in March, Novant Health UVA Health System suspended visitation for the majority of patients due to the new coronavirus. Now, patients will be allotted one healthy adult visitor who will go through a mandatory health screening.
