The Jefferson Cup is one of the premier youth soccer tournaments in the country and, for the first time will hold four of its games in Stafford County during their 2020 event. 

Every year about 800 boys and girls teams from around the country signed up to participate in the tourney, only 300 are selected to attend.


The longtime Griffis-Widewater District representative on the Stafford Board of Supervisors is waiting until next week for the county voter registrar to certify the results of Tuesday’s General Election.

According to the unofficial numbers, the Republican lost the vote to Democratic challenger Tinesha Allen by 18 votes.


The Prince William County Adult Detention Center held its biannual community resource fair on October 29. 

The ADC provides anger management classes, AA groups, substance abuse support groups, religious services, and life skills presentations. 


Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chairman At-large (Elect) Ann Wheeler led a post-election press conference Wednesday.

Flanked by her fellow Democrats just elected to seats on the Board, officials said they would review all of the county’s land-use policies after they take their seats in January.


Peter Candland, Prince William County’s Gainesville District Supervisor, was one of two Republicans to hold their county seats on Tuesday.

This marks Candland’s third term on the Board of County Supervisors and, by now, he’s got the battle scars to prove it.
