An intoxicated driver was removed from the roadway yesterday by Stafford deputies after a citizen reported her egregious driving behavior.

At 10:01 a.m. yesterday, the Emergency Communications Center received an emergency call for a silver Mercedes swerving all over the road, crossing into oncoming traffic and occasionally stopping in the middle of the road.


The Virginia Department of Health’s Rappahannock Area Health District (RAHD) will begin to vaccinate essential workers in Phase 1c beginning on Thursday, March 25, 2021. RAHD will continue to prioritize vaccination for anyone in Phase 1a and 1b who registers to receive it.

On March 20 at 9:09 p.m., deputies responded to McDonald’s (190 Garrisonville Road) for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 19-year-old male victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Data Stream Broadband has recently opened offices in the Wilderness area of the county where they will endeavor to provide broadband internet service for hundreds of potential customers in the area. Broadband speeds will vary between 60-70 Mbps (mega bits per second), which is within the definition for broadband set by the FCC.
