Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam made a surprise visit to Manassas vaccine clinic Tuesday.
The governor has been making the rounds to vaccination clinics across the state after he announced earlier this month anyone over the age of 18 now has the option of getting vaccinated for the coronavirus. The governor visited two other vaccination clinics in our area, one at First Zion Baptist Church near Dumfries, and Todos Supermarket in Woodbridge on April 4.
According to a WalletHub study, Virginia has the fourth most Coronavirus restrictions.

Stafford County Fire and Rescue will roll out three new ambulances this month that feature cost-effective and environmentally friendly technology.
The new units will feature ZeroRPM technology, which allows essential functions such as heat and air condition to function on battery power, rather than engine idling. The reduction in engine idling hours will result in fewer vehicle emissions, usage of less fuel, and a reduction in maintenance due to reduced engine hours over the life of the ambulance.
The Workhouse Arts Center has kicked off its second season of the community market.
As a participant of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Workhouse will present special activities on the opening day of the Market celebrating Japanese culture, cherry blossom-themed art, and providing an opportunity for local vendors to offer a myriad of crafts, food, and other products to the community.
The Prince William County Service Authority Board of Directors has hired Mr. Calvin D. Farr, Jr. as the water and wastewater utility’s new general manager.
Farr will begin his new job on May 17, 2021.

Democrats in Districts 2 (Woodbridge), 31 (Dale City), and 50 (Bristow, Manassas), and Republicans in District 51 (Lake Ridge, Nokesville) will have primary elections.
